The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) on Tuesday, 28 April 2025, declared the results of the Higher Secondary (HS) Final Examinations from Guwahati, with the state recording an overall pass percentage of 81.54% across all streams. Stream-wise Performance

In the Science stream, 54,474 students passed, of whom 34,079 secured first division, 17,777 second division, and 2,618 third division — reflecting a strong concentration of high achievers in this stream.
The Commerce stream saw 15,796 students clear the examination. Of these, 7,787 obtained first division, 5,694 second division, and 2,315 third division.

District Highlights: Arts Stream
Baksa district topped the state in the Arts stream with a pass percentage of 94.29%, followed by Chirang district at 92.99%. Both districts are located in lower Assam, reflecting a notable regional performance trend in the humanities category.

The council also released data on examination conduct. According to officials, 190 candidates were expelled on charges of malpractice during the examination process. Additionally, 8,075 candidates remained absent from the examinations.
