Maharajganj (Uttar Pradesh), Nov 21 (NationPress) Following the recent explosions in Delhi, security measures have been considerably enhanced from Ayodhya to the India-Nepal border in anticipation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s arrival in the revered city on November 25.
The Prime Minister is set to raise a sacred religious flag atop the Ram Temple, symbolizing a significant advancement in the temple's construction. A multitude of dignitaries, including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, is expected to participate in this grand event, which will last for nearly four hours.
PM Modi will raise the flag at the temple's towering 190-foot shikhara, marking the completion of this monumental structure. After the ceremony, he will address over 7,000 guests within the temple grounds. Given the magnitude of the event and recent security threats, law enforcement is on high alert to prevent any anti-national or terrorist activities from disrupting the ceremony.
Maharajganj Superintendent of Police Somendra Meena confirmed that security along the India-Nepal border has been bolstered since the Delhi incidents. Local security committees have been activated, and existing footpath patrols have been reinforced. Joint patrols by local police and SSB personnel are underway to thwart any illegal activities or suspicious movements across the border.
All CCTV cameras in the vicinity are operational, with additional cameras installed in sensitive areas prone to unauthorized access. The LIU (local intelligence unit) is maintaining constant vigilance, and officers are conducting ongoing patrols. Residents of slum areas and temporary settlements near the border are being verified, with strict checks on their identification documents.
Officials from the temple have indicated that this year's celebrations will be especially grand. Subsidiary temples dedicated to Lord Mahadev, Lord Ganesh, Lord Hanuman, Suryadev, Maa Bhagwati, Maa Annapurna, and Sheshavatar will be adorned with elaborate decorations alongside the main temple.
The rituals will involve 108 Acharyas from Ayodhya, Kashi, and South India, under the direction of esteemed Kashi scholar Ganeshwar Shastri. The ceremony will feature the hoisting of a saffron flag displaying the symbol of the Sun, which represents eternal energy, divine radiance, virtue, and enlightenment—qualities associated with Lord Ram.
