Badrinath, May 4 (NationPress) The holy gates of Shri Badrinath Dham in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district were ceremoniously opened to devotees on Sunday at 6 a.m. This event was celebrated with traditional Vedic rituals and the uplifting chants of 'Jai Badri Vishal', complemented by the melodious tunes of the Garhwal Rifles band from the Indian Army, which enriched the spiritual ambiance.

As the esteemed shrine embraced pilgrims, helicopters showered flower petals over the devotees, adding a touch of divinity to this sacred event.

This occasion marked a pivotal moment in the ongoing Char Dham Yatra, recognized as one of the most revered pilgrimages for Hindus.

The Char Dham Yatra encompasses the revered high-altitude shrines of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath, attracting millions of devotees from both India and abroad annually.

With the final leg now open at Badrinath, the Char Dham Yatra has gained momentum.

Uttarakhand's Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited Shri Badrinath Dham to offer his prayers, interacting with devotees and locals, warmly engaging with the pilgrims.

On social media platform X, CM Dhami expressed, 'The doors of Bhu-Vaikunth Shri Badrinath Dham, one of the Char Dhams and a center of faith for millions, have opened today for devotees with complete rites and rituals, amidst the divine sound of Vedic chanting.'

'With the opening of the doors of Shri Badrinath Dham, the Char Dham Yatra is now fully underway. Our government is dedicated to ensuring a smooth, safe, and memorable journey for all devotees visiting Uttarakhand from across the country and beyond,' he added.

In another post, Dhami elaborated on the spiritual essence of the area: 'Shri Badrinath Dham is a realm of devotion, penance, and liberation. Here, every particle is infused with divinity, and every stone carries the essence of Shri Hari. This time, make sure to visit 'Devbhoomi' Uttarakhand during the Char Dham Yatra and partake in this divine experience filled with faith and spirituality.'

The pilgrimage route, traditionally followed in a clockwise direction, holds profound spiritual significance within Sanatan Dharma.

This year, the Char Dham Yatra commenced on April 30 with the ceremonial opening of the Yamunotri and Gangotri temples during the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya.

On Friday, the doors of the Baba Kedarnath temple were opened amid elaborate Vedic rituals and fervent religious enthusiasm, drawing a multitude of devotees.
