New Delhi, May 2 (NationPress) Bangladesh is set to compete in two men’s T20Is against the UAE at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on May 17 and 19. This marks Bangladesh’s second bilateral T20I series against the UAE within the last three years.
The previous encounter took place in a two-match T20I series at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in September 2022, where Bangladesh secured a 2-0 victory as part of their preparations for the T20 World Cup in Australia in October 2022.
“We are delighted to witness the return of the Bangladesh national team to the UAE. The BCB appreciates the chance to participate in competitive cricket and acknowledges the efforts of the Emirates Cricket Board in organizing this T20I series,” stated Nizam Uddin Chowdhury, Chief Executive Officer of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
“These matches will play a crucial role in our team’s preparations for a busy international schedule, including the upcoming Asia Cup. Both Bangladesh and UAE are also scheduled to compete in this year’s Men’s T20 Asia Cup, set for September 2025. The tournament will feature other teams, including Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, and Oman.
