Chennai, Nov 17 (NationPress) Actress Bhagyashrii Borse, who has garnered significant acclaim for her portrayal of Kumari in director Selvamani Selvaraj's recently launched period drama, 'Kaantha', has revealed that she was initially hesitant to deliver a real slap to Dulquer Salmaan during a pivotal scene in the film!
The storyline, which centers around a power struggle between a celebrated director and a film superstar in the 1950s, features a scene where Bhagyashrii's character Kumari must slap Dulquer Salmaan's character. Remarkably, Bhagyashrii had to hit Dulquer not just once but multiple times during this sequence.
When interviewed by IANS, Bhagyashrii Borse shared her thoughts on performing such a challenging scene, stating, "It took me a considerable amount of time; I was not prepared to do it as I thought, 'Can I just fake it?' since I have never hit anyone before. However, I realized that DQ (Dulquer Salmaan) truly wanted that authenticity. He wanted genuine emotion to shine through, so I had to fulfill what my co-actor desired."
