Patna, Oct 23 (NationPress) Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai sharply criticized RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday, asserting that even though the Grand Alliance has presented him as a candidate for Chief Minister, the citizens of Bihar will categorically reject him.
According to Rai, the electorate is fully aware of the infighting within the Grand Alliance that facilitated Tejashwi’s nomination.
“Tejashwi Yadav may be a candidate for Chief Minister, but he will never assume that role. In a democratic setup, the Chief Minister is elected by the people, and Bihar's populace has faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and Nitish Kumar’s governance. An NDA government will once again take charge in the state,” he stated.
The former president of the Bihar BJP and Lok Sabha MP from Ujiarpur warned that if a government is established under Tejashwi Yadav’s leadership, Bihar could revert to the “era of jungle raj.”
“Murders, robberies, and rapes will occur in broad daylight. Land and homes will be plundered just as they were between 1990 and 2005,” Rai asserted.
He accused Tejashwi Yadav of being thrust into the Chief Ministerial role through “pressure and threats” directed at the Congress and other coalition members, noting that even the leaders of the Grand Alliance are not entirely convinced of his capability.
In response to Tejashwi Yadav’s recent claim of taking action against corruption, Rai remarked: “He should first address issues within his own family. From the fodder scam to the land-for-jobs scam, the Yadav family carries a significant burden of corruption allegations.”
Reflecting on the 2020 Assembly elections, Rai accused RJD supporters of instilling fear and engaging in extortion across the state.
“The people remember how RJD operatives intimidated voters, demanding money with threats of retaliation post-election. That reign of terror ended only when Nitish Kumar formed the government,” he urged voters to stay alert.
The Union Minister expressed confidence in the NDA's impending success, declaring: “On November 14, the NDA’s victory banner will once again wave throughout Bihar. The Grand Alliance will face defeat.”
He concluded by stating that Bihar is advancing under the “double-engine government,” with the populace aligned with Prime Minister Modi’s vision for a prosperous and developed state.
