New Delhi, March 5 (NationPress) The ruling Janata Dal-United (JD-U) in Bihar has firmly countered the comments made by RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, emphasizing that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who has submitted his nomination for the Rajya Sabha elections, is not someone who can be "hijacked" by any party and remains steadfast in his choices.
Tejashwi Yadav claimed, "We have been stating from the outset that the Chief Minister has been hijacked, and this has now been confirmed. It is clear that whoever becomes the BJP's Chief Minister will merely act as a rubber stamp," referring to Nitish Kumar's recent actions.
In response, JD-U national spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan Prasad asserted that Nitish Kumar’s extensive public service spanning five decades is a testament to his leadership.
"No one can hijack Nitish Kumar. Throughout his fifty-year public career, he has consistently answered challenges through decisive actions. He makes choices and stands by them. Let the critics voice their opinions. It is precisely such baseless comments that contributed to the RJD's dismal performance in the previous Assembly elections," Prasad stated during an interview with IANS.
As the Bihar Chief Minister prepares to transition to the Rajya Sabha, the JD-U representative hailed Nitish Kumar as a visionary leader whose guidance has significantly transformed the state over the last two decades.
"Nitish Kumar, Bihar’s dynamic Chief Minister, is a visionary. The last twenty years in Bihar will be marked as a significant period of change under his leadership. Whether in infrastructure or in enhancing the lives of common people, his pivotal decisions have positioned Bihar as a developing state today," he remarked.
Referring to him as the “Vishwakarma of modern Bihar,” Prasad expressed that the absence of Nitish Kumar in the state's executive role would be profoundly felt.
"Certainly, his new role will also be successful. He has fulfilled his duties in one House of Parliament and has had remarkable tenures in both Houses of the Bihar Legislature. The Rajya Sabha will also recognize his contributions," he added.
Prasad reiterated that the Chief Minister has reaffirmed his dedication to the advancement of Bihar.
"Clearly, he has once again indicated that his guidance for development will continue to be available for Bihar," he concluded.
