New Delhi, Nov 27 (NationPress) The Congress party, along with Rahul Gandhi and his social media team, is allegedly engaged in a nefarious plan to tarnish the nation's image and that of Prime Minister Narendra Modi since 2014, according to BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra. He accused them of utilizing numerous foreign-based social media accounts to propagate a false and biased narrative.

During a press briefing at the BJP headquarters, Patra made shocking revelations regarding the deployment of fake and altered social media accounts from abroad, including regions like West Asia and Singapore, which were used to disseminate misleading propaganda within India.

He emphasized the foreign connections of certain X accounts affiliated with the Congress party and its prominent leader, Pawan Khera. In contrast, the BJP remains committed to its local values.

“The INC Maharashtra account previously indicated Ireland before it was modified to reflect India post a feature rollout. The INC Himachal account, while showing India, seems to be linked through an Android app based in Thailand. Pawan Khera's account is registered in the United States,” he stated during the conference.

These findings emerged following X's (formerly Twitter) introduction of a new feature allowing users to verify account identities and locations.

Patra also provided information about various Indian X accounts that have been involved in shaping and proliferating fake narratives that aim to insult the Prime Minister and undermine the country.

“A creator named Arpit Sharma recently produced a video about vote fraud, but his account is not situated in India; it operates from Europe. In his video, he made several assertions that sought to discredit India. Another example is Dr. Kalika, whose account based in Singapore disseminated false images alleging the arrest of the Indian Election Commissioner,” he added, displaying images of those tweets.

Expressing his disapproval of the Opposition, he stated that such examples reveal a concerning trend, suggesting that they are backed by Rahul and his social media team.

He indicated that the Congress-Left alliance does not hesitate to enlist foreign assistance to promote a distorted narrative.

Furthermore, the BJP leader held both the Congress party and Rahul Gandhi accountable for the turmoil that followed the Election Commission's introduction of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Bihar, which is currently preparing for elections.
