BJP Engages with Delhi's Business Leaders, Invites Input for Election Manifesto

New Delhi, Dec 6 (NationPress) In the run-up to the Delhi Assembly elections, BJP officials convened with business leaders in the capital on Friday to better understand their challenges and to gather recommendations for the party’s manifesto.

The BJP representatives pledged to implement a single-window system to facilitate entrepreneurs’ needs. They assured that they would engage entrepreneurs in the industrial advancement of Delhi and prioritize the growth of industrial regions, as stated in an announcement.

This interactive session took place at the Ambedkar International Center, located on Janpath. It featured the BJP’s Delhi Pradesh Election Manifesto Committee Convener and MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, along with other committee members, including former minister Meenakshi Lekhi, Media Head Praveen Shankar Kapoor, and Youth Morcha Leader Abhishek Tandon.

A significant number of entrepreneurs participated in the event, contributing written suggestions in a designated suggestion box and discussing sector-specific issues.

Bidhuri pointed out that industries are crucial to the development of any state, as they not only contribute to tax revenue but also help fulfill the government’s obligation to create jobs.

He emphasized that it is the responsibility of every government to foster a supportive atmosphere for industries.

Bidhuri also criticized past administrations for viewing entrepreneurs merely as revenue sources. He highlighted that less than one percent of developmental initiatives have positively impacted industrial zones.

The BJP MP underscored the inadequate condition of roads, obstructed sewer systems, and the scarcity of drinking water facilities in nearly all of Delhi’s industrial areas. He assured that the BJP’s foremost priority would be the concurrent development of industries and their respective areas.

Meenakshi Lekhi stated that the BJP is actively engaging with various community groups to formulate its manifesto. On December 5, the party had discussions with RWAs (Resident Welfare Associations), followed by a youth dialogue on Friday morning, and a meeting with entrepreneurs later that evening.

Representatives from various industrial associations attended the meeting, including the Okhla Chamber of Industries, Badli Industrial Estate Association, Okhla Printers and Providers Association, Mohan Estate Welfare Association, MCIE Badarpur Industries Association, Udyog Nagar Factory Owners Association, Wazirpur Industrial Estate Welfare Association, Mayapuri Industrial Welfare Association, Naraina Industries Association (Phase 1 and 2), Bawana Manufacturers Welfare Association, Manufacturers Association of GTK Road Industrial Area (Block A and B), Patparganj F.I.E. Entrepreneurs Association, Friends Colony Manufacturers Association, and Friends Colony Industrial Area, G.T. Road, Shahdara.
