BJP Candidates Declare 'Delhi Wants Change' in Initial Candidate List

New Delhi, Jan 4 (NationPress) - As the BJP unveiled its inaugural list of candidates for the forthcoming Delhi Assembly elections, party representatives from different constituencies conveyed their optimism regarding victory while critiquing the AAP administration. They claimed that the residents of Delhi are aware of the shortcomings of the Kejriwal government and are prepared to offer the BJP a chance this time around.

In an interview with IANS, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, the BJP’s candidate, highlighted the public's demand for change in Delhi.

"I express my gratitude to the BJP leadership and workers for their trust in me. The citizens of Delhi wish to see a transformation. They desire the BJP in power in the national capital and aim to see Arvind Kejriwal defeated. His administration has been marred by extensive corruption and stagnation in development. Citizens are suffering from water shortages and various other problems. Now, they seek a BJP government," he stated.

Sirsa also voiced his concerns regarding the state of Rajouri Garden, pointing out the poor conditions of roads and sewage systems. "The situation in Rajouri Garden is truly alarming. The infrastructure is in disrepair," he mentioned.

Ashish Sood, running from Janakpuri, also radiated confidence regarding the BJP's prospects.

"I am grateful that the BJP has selected me from Janakpuri. The circumstances here are not favorable; residents must pay for drinking water, and development has been stagnant for the past decade. Our aim is to enhance the living conditions of the people in Janakpuri and ensure a better quality of life for them," Sood remarked.

Satish Upadhayay, contesting from Malviya Nagar, criticized the state of his constituency, asserting that basic infrastructure is severely lacking.

"I appreciate the BJP leadership for selecting me. The situation in Malviya Nagar is critical – roads are in poor condition, there is a lack of fresh water, and residents are compelled to consume contaminated water. Electricity costs are rising, and parks and walking paths are neglected. This year, it is evident that BJP will triumph, and 'Kamal jarur khilega'," he stated.

Upadhayay added that the BJP is diligently working to secure victory in the Delhi Assembly elections.

"Our members are putting in remarkable efforts. We will engage with every resident of Delhi and reveal the true state of the Assembly. We aim to liberate Delhi from a government enmeshed in corruption," he concluded.

The BJP's first list of 29 candidates includes notable political figures such as Parvesh Verma, Ramesh Bidhuri, and Manjinder Singh Sirsa. The party's announcement coincides with the approaching election date, with political analysts anticipating a fiercely competitive battle.
