BJP's Manjinder Singh Sirsa Anticipates AAP's Downfall as ECI to Announce Delhi Assembly Election Date

New Delhi, Jan 7 (NationPress) As the Election Commission of India gears up to disclose the timeline for the forthcoming Delhi Assembly elections, BJP's candidate for Rajouri Garden, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, boldly stated that the announcement of the election date will herald the approaching defeat of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and signal a clear victory for the BJP.

The ECI is scheduled to announce the polling timeline at a press briefing on Tuesday at 2 p.m., with the 70-member Assembly's term concluding on February 23, thus requiring elections to establish a new legislative assembly.

In an interview with IANS, Sirsa expressed, "The ECI's announcement will unequivocally reveal when the residents of Delhi will be liberated from the AAP governance. These dates will signify the commencement of the end of the corruption that the Arvind Kejriwal-led administration has imposed on the national capital. It will also indicate when the BJP will assume control and establish the next government in Delhi."

Sirsa was unreserved in his criticism of former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of engaging in numerous corrupt activities.

"Kejriwal vowed to lead a simple life, yet he transformed his residence into a 'Sheesh Mahal' adorned with ₹20 lakh carpets. From liquor scams to bus scandals and even school frauds, Kejriwal has devastated Delhi. Currently, the water in every household is polluted, roads are inundated with garbage, and the city's condition has deteriorated since Kejriwal assumed office in 2013," he remarked.

As the AAP seeks a third consecutive term, the BJP is resolute in its mission to alter the narrative.

Meanwhile, the Congress, which previously collaborated with AAP during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, is also aiming for its share of power and targeting both factions in the competition. With the elections nearing, the political climate in the capital is poised to escalate further.
