Manish Sisodia: AAP's Confidence Soars While BJP Lacks Leadership and Agenda

New Delhi, Dec 16 (NationPress) The Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) confidence is soaring high, while it’s the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) which has been floundering and tottering in the run-up to the Delhi Assembly elections, said former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Monday.
Senior party leader Sisodia, speaking to IANS, stated that the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP is marching ahead with full confidence and is prepared to challenge its rivals in the upcoming polls because the public appreciates its effective governance over the past decade and is willing to grant it another opportunity.
“We have an excellent team of leaders, spearheaded by grassroots leader Arvind Kejriwal. Over the last ten years, we have enhanced the city’s performance in education, health, and numerous other sectors.
“Conversely, the BJP possesses neither leadership nor any relevant issues or agenda for the city. Its only plan is to perpetually complain against our government, resulting in a rudderless BJP that will pose no threat to us,” Sisodia remarked.
It is worth noting that the Delhi Assembly elections are anticipated to take place in February next year.
Political parties have already intensified their campaigns, with the AAP unveiling new electoral promises of free electricity, water, and more, while the BJP is launching accusations against the CM Atishi government of deceiving and misleading Delhi residents with ‘fake’ promises.
The AAP has declared its candidates for all 70 seats, although it has shifted Manish Sisodia’s constituency from Patparganj to Jangpura.
This prompted the BJP to assert that the ‘flustered’ AAP is opting for a safer seat for its previously tainted ex-Deputy CM.
The Kejriwal-led AAP, possibly facing its most significant electoral challenge to date, is vying for re-election for the fourth time.
The controversies surrounding alleged liquor deals, slap incidents, and luxury accommodations are believed to have severely impacted the party’s pledge of honest politics. The party has intensified its efforts to secure the mandate, asserting that these issues are merely ‘witch-hunts’ conducted by the BJP-led Centre to oust it from power and hinder the progress achieved over the past decade.
