Kejriwal Alleges Upcoming CBI Raids on Manish Sisodia's Residence

New Delhi, Jan 6 (NationPress) Former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday made some significant and sensational assertions about 'upcoming' CBI raids on the residence of his close associate and former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia.
Through his social media platform X, Kejriwal claimed that credible sources indicated that Manish Sisodia would undergo CBI raids in the coming days, allegedly orchestrated by the BJP-led government at the national level.
He suggested that the BJP was feeling frustrated and unsettled by the AAP's growth model in the national capital, leading them to resort to such deceptive tactics to gain political leverage.
"I mentioned recently that Delhi CM Atishi ji would face arrest and some AAP leaders would be targeted. According to reliable sources, a CBI raid on Manish Sisodia's residence is imminent. The BJP is losing ground in the Delhi elections. These arrests and raids stem from their desperation," the AAP leader conveyed on X.
In the same statement, he asserted that his party remains a fundamentally honest organization and that the Centre and its agencies would once again uncover nothing incriminating, as they had in past encounters.
“To date, they have not discovered any evidence against us, and they will not find anything in the future either. The AAP is a fundamentally honest party,” Kejriwal emphasized.
Manish Sisodia, the former Deputy CM of Delhi, was previously arrested over allegations of corruption related to the Delhi liquor excise policy. He faced CBI raids in August 2022 and was accused of enabling corruption in the now-repealed policy. The AAP has dismissed these allegations as a political witch-hunt by the Centre.
Last month, Kejriwal expressed concerns about the potential arrest of Delhi CM Atishi in a fabricated transport case, asserting that the BJP was shaken by AAP's announcement of welfare programs like the 'Mahila Samman Yojana' and 'Sanjeevani Yojana'.
During a press conference, he claimed that various Central agencies, including the ED, CBI, and Income Tax Department, received directives from higher authorities to arrest the Chief Minister and raid AAP leaders.
