Vijender Gupta Claims Delhi Residents Seek Liberation from Corrupt AAP

New Delhi, Dec 10 (NationPress) The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has unveiled its second batch of 31 candidates for the 2025 Delhi Assembly elections. Manish Sisodia, the former Deputy Chief Minister, has been relocated from his constituency in Patparganj and will now run for the Jangpura Assembly seat. He is the current MLA representing Patparganj and commenced his electoral campaign in Jangpura on Tuesday.

Following the announcement of the 31 candidates by AAP, the Delhi BJP has criticized the party’s selection process on multiple fronts.

In an interview with IANS, the Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, Vijender Gupta, remarked that while AAP has declared 31 candidates, a party that holds 62 out of 70 MLAs has not offered a nomination to any sitting legislator.

“Candidates have been reassigned to new constituencies. The seat of former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia has been altered. What does this indicate?” he questioned.

He further accused Manish Sisodia of being implicated in the liquor scam, asserting that the residents of Patparganj are no longer interested in having him as their representative.

AAP is plagued by corruption, and the citizens of Delhi are eager to liberate themselves from this “corrupt government.” This explains why Manish Sisodia is abandoning his existing seat to contest in Jangpura.

Earlier that day, BJP leader Vijender Gupta also posted on the social media platform X. He stated: "People of Delhi, observe Kejriwal's magnificent palace. While the residents of Delhi grapple with fundamental issues like electricity, water, education, and healthcare, Arvind Kejriwal has erected a palace worth crores using the taxpayers' hard-earned money. Kejriwal, who ascended to power promising simplicity and integrity, is now indulging in a lavish lifestyle, akin to a king. Take a look at this palace and its opulence, despite Kejriwal's previous claims that he would not accept vehicles, bungalows, or security."
