Bhopal, Sep 8 (NationPress) The BJP in Madhya Pradesh has sharply responded to Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge's comments regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was labeled as having become an enemy of the nation by Kharge.
The BJP admonished Kharge, asserting that he should reflect on his own circumstances before disparaging PM Modi and disrespecting the citizens of India.
Vishvas Sarang, a prominent BJP figure, remarked that such comments towards PM Modi are an outright insult to the nation and its people.
Sarang, serving as the Sports and Youth Welfare Minister, further commented that Kharge requires approval from Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to enter his own office.
“Despite becoming the national president, he still needs permission from Priyanka and Rahul to access a room. He should assess his own situation,” Sarang conveyed to IANS.
Sarang argued that the opposition shows little regard for the public's sentiments.
“The Congress party neither values the people nor their issues. Their actions are driven solely by a desire for political gain,” Sarang emphasized.
The national BJP leadership also condemned Kharge for making light of farmers' struggles, claiming that the Congress party's long-standing insensitivity has led farmers to despair.
Amit Malviya, a BJP leader, shared a video clip stating, “Next time Rahul Gandhi or the Congress party claims to advocate for farmers, remind them of this: their own President Mallikarjun Kharge ridiculed farmers' distress, telling them 'not to complain and seek attention all the time.' This is the legendary apathy of Congress that has led farmers to despair for decades.”
Malviya commended PM Modi for aiding farmers by enhancing their incomes and adopting modern agricultural practices.
“It was PM Modi who initiated a genuine revolution—assisting farmers in diversifying, doubling their incomes, safeguarding crops from seasonal hazards, and adopting contemporary farming methods. While Congress mocked, PM Modi delivered results,” Malviya expressed on X.
On the previous day, in relation to the US tariff matter, Kharge stated that while US President Donald Trump and PM Modi may be allies, he claimed that PM Modi has turned into an enemy of the nation.
Speaking to reporters in Kalaburagi, the Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha mentioned that PM Modi and Trump could be cordial to each other as they seek votes from one another.
“Trump and PM Modi can maintain a friendship, but PM Modi has indeed become an enemy of the nation. He has tarnished the atmosphere,” Kharge stated during his remarks.
