New Delhi, Jan 5 (NationPress) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) initiated a countrywide public awareness drive named 'VB–G RAM G Janjagaran Abhiyan' on Monday. This campaign is designed to promote and elucidate the provisions of the recently enacted VB–G RAM G Act, 2025.
This initiative will primarily focus on rural regions and is spearheaded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The order for this outreach was communicated by BJP National General Secretary Arun Singh via an official letter dated January 4, 2026.
The objective of the campaign is to convey the essential benefits of the VB-G RAM G scheme directly to farmers, agricultural workers, and rural communities. The BJP characterizes the Act as a significant reform that aligns with the vision of Viksit Bharat, framing the scheme as a revolutionary alternative to MGNREGA.
The VB-G RAM G scheme aims to enhance rural development, fortify the rural economy, reduce corruption, and create more job opportunities. A standout feature is the increase in guaranteed employment days from 100 to 125, coupled with a greater focus on livelihood creation and infrastructure development.
The Janjagaran Abhiyan is crafted to communicate the advantages of the scheme in straightforward language, particularly when juxtaposed with MGNREGA; counter the misinformation propagated by the Opposition that labels the initiative as anti-farmer or anti-poor; and reaffirm the Prime Minister's dedication to farmers and laborers. The BJP also regards this scheme as a pivotal component of the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision for holistic rural transformation.
A comprehensive roadmap for execution has been laid out. Committees at the state level, consisting of five members, and district-level committees with four members will be established. Press conferences with presentations will occur at state headquarters from January 5 to 6, followed by district-level press meetings from January 7 to 9.
Furthermore, district conferences involving members of the Zila Panchayat, Block Panchayat, sarpanches, and candidates from recent local elections will be organized. Members of Parliament, MLAs, Legislative Council members, and representatives from cooperative institutions will also be involved.
Meetings at the block and mandal levels with elected representatives of Gram Panchayat and cooperative chairpersons will take place alongside village-level farmer and labor chaupals to engage beneficiaries, clarify provisions, and address any concerns. Additional door-to-door outreach programs will be executed to disseminate accurate information.
Public mobilization actions like Kisan Padayatras, tractor rallies, and bullock cart rallies will be organized at the block level.
Overall coordination of the Janjagaran Abhiyan will be managed by Arun Singh, along with BJP Kisan Morcha National President Rajkumar Chahar, National Vice President Rekha Verma, O.P. Dhankar, and Dr. Shambhu Kumar, National General Secretary of the Kisan Morcha.
The BJP leadership has emphasized the necessity of active participation across all organizational tiers to effectively convey the purpose and long-term benefits of the VB-G RAM G Act, branding it as a fundamental aspect of India’s rural development strategy moving forward.
