New Delhi, July 14 (NationPress) In the wake of the shocking murder of Surendra Kewat in Bihar’s Patna district, former Congress MP Kunwar Danish Ali has launched a fierce critique against the Nitish Kumar-led JD(U) and BJP coalition, asserting that the state is experiencing a total breakdown of law and order.

He further alleged that the BJP is merely using Nitish Kumar as a tool until the elections, after which they will cast him aside “just like their previous partners.”

Ali's comments were made during his visit to Moradabad as part of the Congress outreach initiative aimed at fortifying the party's grassroots framework.

In an interview with IANS, he remarked, “In Bihar, the populace is utterly disenchanted. Nitish Kumar lacks genuine control; his administration is being operated from afar. He frequently forgets details due to his memory lapses.”

Pointing to the recent spate of violence in Bihar, including the murder of 52-year-old Surendra Kewat, Ali stressed that public safety has plummeted significantly.

Kewat was shot by motorcycle-riding assailants in Sheikhpura village of the Pipra police station area, under the Punpun block of Patna district. He was ambushed while returning from his farmland after disconnecting the motor pump. The attackers fired four rounds at him before escaping.

This incident represents the second murder in broad daylight in Patna within days, following the July 4 killing of businessman Gopal Khemka.

Criticizing the BJP-JD(U) alliance, Ali remarked, “The BJP merely intends to exploit Nitish Kumar until the elections as part of their social engineering tactics. After the elections, the BJP will abandon him just like they did with their previous allies.”

He forecasted a political transformation in the state, stating, “Nothing substantial will occur in Bihar. Under the leadership of Tejashwi Yadav, a RJD-Congress-INDIA bloc government with a commanding majority is poised to take shape.”

Point of View

I believe this issue highlights the urgent need for political accountability and public safety in Bihar. The alarming rise in violence under the current administration raises critical questions about governance and the political landscape in the region.
