Patna, Nov 9 (NationPress) The campaigning for the second phase of the Bihar Assembly elections wrapped up at 5 p.m. on Sunday. On this concluding day, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar held a public meeting in Itwadih, part of the Kargahar Assembly segment in Rohtas district, urging voters to support NDA ally JDU candidate Vashishth Singh.
The Chief Minister declared, “The partnership between Nitish and Modi has liberated Bihar from jungle raj and put an end to dynasty politics.”
He sharply criticized the Lalu family, stating that prior to 2005, Bihar was plagued by fear and terror, lacking essential services like education, electricity, and infrastructure.
Kumar emphasized that his administration has worked for all communities and vowed to continue this effort in the future.
He appealed to the electorate not to back individuals who had accomplished nothing in the past and encouraged them to vote for JDU candidate Vashishth Singh.
On the final day of campaigning in Rohtas district, Nitish Kumar also spoke at rallies in Nokha and Karakat.
In response to opposition comments regarding his age and health, he has been actively campaigning throughout the Bihar Assembly elections.
Those who claimed he was fatigued and in need of rest have been silenced by Nitish Kumar, according to his camp.
This election season, Kumar conducted 84 public meetings — 11 via road and 73 by air.
His relentless campaigning has taken many by surprise, even those who doubted his stamina. His team asserts he has emerged as the most vigorous star campaigner, traveling nearly 1,000 km by road and directly engaging with the public across eight Assembly constituencies.
On Sunday, he continued to campaign in Nokha, urging voters to back JDU candidate Nagendra Chandravanshi.
He called on the populace to re-elect the NDA government for Bihar's progress and pledged to transform the state into a developed region.
Before Nokha, Nitish Kumar addressed gatherings in Aurangabad and Nabinagar, asserting that a double-engine government would be reinstated in Bihar.
He expressed that the citizens trust the “Modi-Nitish” leadership and guaranteed that an NDA government would facilitate comprehensive development for the state.
