Key Takeaways
Patna, Oct 30 (NationPress) Union Home Minister Amit Shah, during a comprehensive campaign in Bihar on Thursday, emphasized the importance of the developmental approach adopted by the Nitish-led NDA government and drew a stark comparison with the “jungle raj” era under RJD leadership.
Speaking to a large gathering in Bihar's Lakhisarai, the Home Minister pointed out various corruption scandals that marred the RJD administration and called on the voters to support the party that ended “jungle raj” and fostered progress in the state. He encouraged them to back the vision of ‘Viksit Bihar’.
“The voting day is November 6, and it's crucial for everyone to participate. However, cast your vote not merely to elect an MLA or minister, but with the conviction that each vote contributes to making 'Viksit Bihar' under the leadership of Nitish Kumar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he told the enthusiastic crowd.
“Your votes are vital to halt jungle raj,” he reiterated to the audience.
Amit Shah further elaborated on the numerous corruption instances during the Cong-RJD rule, contrasting them with the transparent governance under Nitish Kumar and PM Modi.
“Under Lalu-Rabri's rule, Bihar became synonymous with scams. Their prominent figure is Rahul Baba. Even during Congress's tenure, widespread corruption led to the misappropriation of a staggering Rs 12 lakh crore of public funds. Bihar's citizens should not expect anything positive from Lalu-Rabri or Congress,” the Home Minister asserted.
“It has been 20 years for Nitish Babu and 11 years for PM Modi, and neither has faced any allegations of corruption even worth four annas. All resources are being directed towards aiding the underprivileged,” he remarked.
Addressing the infamous jungle raj era during the RJD's governance, he stated, “Prior to 2005, Bihar was plagued by bahubalis and strongmen, leading to the collapse of industries and the emergence of only one successful sector – kidnapping and ransom.
