Patna, Oct 16 (NationPress) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, renowned for his passionate oratory, officially embarked on the Bihar Assembly election campaign on Thursday, launching a fierce critique of the Congress and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).
Speaking at a large rally in Danapur, Patna, he emphasized the cultural and spiritual connections between Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, while taking aim at the RJD and Congress, accusing them of nurturing “jungle raj and nepotism” in the region.
“Uttar Pradesh and Bihar share not just a bond, but a shared heritage — a bond of one soul, one culture, and one resolve. This bond is as unbreakable as the bond between Lord Ram and Mother Janaki,” he stated.
Yogi Adityanath reminded attendees of Bihar’s political history, highlighting the period from 1990 to 2005, when the state endured jungle raj, where nepotism and crime overshadowed education and spirituality.
“These people (Congress and RJD) have turned Bihar's sacred ground of knowledge into a territory of nepotism and crime, leading to an identity crisis for our youth,” he remarked.
“The NDA government has tirelessly worked for 20 years to liberate Bihar from that taint. Today, the double-engine government is committed to effective development,” he asserted.
The Chief Minister targeted the opposition INDIA Bloc, accusing it of conspiring to manipulate elections and hinder Bihar’s progress.
“The NDA government advocates for transparent voting, yet Congress, RJD, and their allies suggest election rigging. Should they be entitled to undermine elections? Should outsiders be permitted to infringe upon the rights of Dalits, the impoverished, and the residents of Bihar?” he questioned.
He also claimed that Uttar Pradesh has already eradicated mafia dominance, advocating for similar governance in Bihar.
“The mafia in Uttar Pradesh has been vanquished. We have confiscated their assets and initiated housing projects for the underprivileged,” he urged voters to facilitate the NDA's return to power in Bihar.
Following his rally at Danapur, Yogi Adityanath addressed another assembly in Saharsa, intensifying his critique of the opposition.
“The welfare of the impoverished was never a priority for Congress or RJD. Their sole agenda was family welfare. When Congress attempted to suppress democracy, it was Bihar that stood up. Today, the RJD has allied itself with that same Congress. They are undermining the vision of Jayaprakash Narayan,” he concluded.
