Patna, Nov 4 (NationPress) Union Home Minister Amit Shah fiercely criticized RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav on Tuesday, accusing him of multiple corruption scandals during his time in Bihar.
Speaking at a public gathering in the Jale Assembly constituency of Darbhanga, HM Shah remarked, "Lalu Prasad has been involved in the fodder scam, land-for-jobs scam, hotel scam, bitumen scam, flood relief scam, recruitment scam, and the AB Export scam. Both Lalu and Rabri have committed numerous scams, while the Congress party has been implicated in corrupt activities worth Rs 12 lakh crore. Can these individuals do anything beneficial for Bihar?"
HM Shah pointed out that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been in office for over 11 years, and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has governed Bihar for nearly two decades, yet neither has faced corruption allegations.
He accused the former UPA government and the RJD administration of failing to enhance the development of Darbhanga.
"They accomplished nothing for Darbhanga. The Modi government has decided to construct an AIIMS in Darbhanga, so that residents of Mithila, Kosi, and nearby regions won't need to travel to Patna or Delhi for medical care," he stated.
He also claimed that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's recent visit to Bihar was merely a 'Save the Infiltrators Yatra'.
"Lalu and Rahul are attempting to protect the infiltrators. Regardless of how many yatras they organize, we will focus on identifying and deporting infiltrators from our country," asserted the Union Home Minister.
Discussing the recent Pahalgam terrorist attack, Union Minister Shah noted that PM Modi had vowed retaliation from the land of Madhubani, and within 20 days, Operation Sindoor was executed inside Pakistan, resulting in the elimination of terrorists.
He added that the Centre is set to establish a defense corridor in Bihar, akin to the one in Tamil Nadu.
"No adversary will dare to carry out attacks like Pahalgam in the future; if they attempt it, we will respond with our defense production capabilities from Bihar," he emphasized.
Regarding women's self-help groups, the Union Home Minister mentioned that PM Modi and Nitish Kumar have transferred Rs 10,000 each into the accounts of 1.41 crore Jeevika Didis.
"Lalu's party claims this money should be returned. I want to inform them that even if three generations of their family unite, they cannot reclaim this Rs 10,000. Vote for the NDA once more, and we will deposit an additional Rs 2 lakh over five years," he declared.
Referring to the RJD period as a time of "jungle raj", HM Shah urged voters to reject the opposition.
"This jungle raj is attempting to return in another guise. Your responsibility is to prevent it by pressing the lotus button. Today marks the final day of campaigning in Darbhanga. On the 6th, vote for the NDA and secure the victory of all our candidates," he concluded.
