Patna, March 30 (NationPress) Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday launched a fierce criticism of RJD leader Lalu Prasad, claiming that he has damaged Bihar's reputation both nationally and internationally through the fodder scam.

While speaking at a Cooperative Department event at Bapu Sabhagar in Patna, he questioned, "What has Lalu Prasad accomplished for the impoverished?"

Escalating his remarks, the Union Minister stated, "The administrations of Lalu and Rabri will be remembered for anarchy, lawlessness, and corruption."

He further noted, "Thanks to the PM Awas Yojana, 40 lakh homes have been constructed, improving the quality of life for the citizens of Bihar. But what was the condition during RJD's governance? Extortion, jungle raj, hooliganism, robbery, kidnapping, and ransom demands were rampant. The RJD regime was plagued with scams..."

The Union Cooperation Minister also emphasized the accomplishments of the NDA administration under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.

"The RJD's 'Jungle Raj' will stand as a dark chapter in the state's history," he remarked.

He insisted that each time the RJD assumed power in Bihar, it resulted in the state's decline, whereas under the NDA, it experienced progress.

Comparing the financial support for Bihar during the UPA and NDA terms, he asserted: "During Lalu's time as a union minister in the United Progressive Alliance, Bihar was allocated Rs 2.8 lakh crore from the Centre. In contrast, under PM Modi's decade at the helm, the state has received Rs 9.23 lakh crore, a significant increase."

He assured that if the NDA is re-elected in the 2025 Assembly elections, it will reopen sugar mills.

The Union Minister also revealed that the NDA will participate in the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections under Nitish Kumar's leadership.

He called on voters to overwhelmingly re-elect the NDA, pledging further development and stability for Bihar.

Earlier that day, he inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for various initiatives valued at over Rs 800 crore in Patna.
