Patna, Oct 30 (NationPress) Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami have united in a fervent critique of the Congress-RJD Grand Alliance, claiming that its leaders are disseminating untruths, disrespecting the Hindu faith, and dragging Bihar back into a period marked by mismanagement and corruption.
During a significant rally in Muzaffarpur, PM Modi launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD’s Chief Ministerial candidate Tejashwi Yadav, branding them as embodiments of corruption currently on bail due to involvement in multi-billion-dollar scandals.
“In the electoral contest of Bihar, two young individuals who perceive themselves as royals have established a marketplace of deceitful promises,” Modi remarked.
“They have insulted not just me but also Chhathi Maiya, dismissing the revered Chhath festival as mere theatrics. Is there any Bihari who can endure such disrespect towards Chhathi Maiya? These privileged individuals cannot accept that a humble tea vendor from a disadvantaged background has achieved this stature,” he continued.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the leaders of the INDIA Bloc are too apprehensive to visit Ayodhya following the establishment of the Ram Temple, fearing it might alienate their voter base.
He reaffirmed his administration's dedication to having Chhath Mahaparv recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage event, describing it as a celebration of humanity and devotion.
Later, while speaking at another rally in Chhapra, PM Modi dismissed the Grand Alliance’s criticisms as indicative of discord between the Congress and RJD.
“Their alliance resembles oil and water. Their members are clashing, yet their hunger for power has forced them together,” he remarked.
He further alleged that the RJD and Congress are characterized by five elements: violence, oppression, hostility, mismanagement, and corruption. “Those who kept Bihar in the dark ages cannot bring light, and those who plundered the railways cannot enhance connectivity,” he added.
In Lakhisarai, Amit Shah also countered Rahul Gandhi’s recent comments regarding PM Modi, accusing him of disparaging both the Prime Minister and Chhathi Maiya.
“This is Bihar. The people here will respond decisively to Rahul Gandhi and the Grand Alliance on November 6 and 11. When the ballot boxes are opened on November 14, the outcome will be crystal clear,” Shah declared while campaigning for BJP candidate and Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha.
Shah criticized the Lalu-Rabri regime for instituting a period of “jungle raj” in Bihar, rife with kidnappings, extortion, and murders.
“Nitish Kumar has abolished that jungle raj and ushered in a phase of development. Together, Nitish and Modi have laid a robust foundation for the future of Bihar,” he praised both leaders for ensuring corruption-free governance.
In Motihari’s Harsiddhi constituency, Pushkar Singh Dhami addressed a public rally endorsing BJP candidate Krishnanandan Paswan.
Dhami criticized Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav for lacking a vision for Bihar’s growth and resorting solely to divisive politics.
“Just as we halted love jihad, religious conversions, and illegal madrassas in Uttarakhand, similar legislation will be introduced in Bihar if the NDA prevails in the elections,” he promised.
He further stated that those who ridicule festivals like Chhath are against Sanatan Dharma.
Santosh Suman, the national president of HAM, shared the platform and ridiculed Tejashwi Yadav, saying, “Some individuals fantasize at night about becoming Chief Minister and begin making promises in the morning. But Bihar deserves a government that won’t revert us to jungle raj.”
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, while addressing a rally in the Jamalpur constituency of Munger district, highlighted his government’s developmental milestones and criticized the Lalu family for perpetuating dynastic politics.
He recounted that prior to 2005, there was no semblance of law and order in Bihar.
“People barricaded themselves in their homes after dark. Roads were dilapidated, education was in shambles, and electricity was nonexistent. After 2005, development and governance returned to Bihar,” Nitish stated.
Enumerating his government’s achievements, he noted the recruitment of 2.58 lakh teachers through BPSC, provision of free treatment and medications since 2006, and the establishment of 27 new medical colleges.
Under the Saat Nishchay Yojana, he mentioned that 40 lakh individuals have secured jobs, with a target of employing one crore youth in the next five years.
Emphasizing women’s empowerment, he announced 50 percent reservation in Panchayati Raj and 35 percent in the police force, with over 1.40 crore Jeevika Didis actively involved in self-help initiatives.
Additionally, he declared a provision of 125 units of free electricity for each household and a monthly pension of ₹1,100 for the elderly and disabled.
Nitish Kumar asserted that both state and central authorities are collaborating closely for Bihar’s advancement and took a dig at the opposition.
“When Lalu Prasad was ousted from power, he appointed his wife as Chief Minister. That exemplifies their model of dynastic politics,” Kumar concluded.
