Patna, Oct 21 (NationPress) With Bihar's Chief Minister Nitish Kumar poised to kick off his Assembly election campaign today, leaders of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) are brimming with confidence regarding their potential to reclaim governance in the state, while simultaneously criticizing the Mahagathbandhan for its evident internal strife.

On the same day, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar is scheduled to address two significant election rallies in Muzaffarpur, marking the beginning of his campaign from the Minapur Assembly constituency. The initial rally is set to occur at the playground of Minapur High School, where he will engage with the public and underscore the accomplishments of his administration.

In an interview with IANS, JD(U) spokesperson Neeraj Kumar stated, "Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the unanimous leader of the NDA, has consistently monitored various development initiatives throughout 2025, overseeing their progress and laying the groundwork for new projects. His direct appeal to the populace in open venues will showcase the development we've fostered across all segments of society."

He took a jab at the Mahagathbandhan, commenting, "Their leadership is mired in internal disputes. Instead of guiding the state, they are entangled in familial issues. Some leaders are invoking their grandmothers' names, while others parade their parents. This is not politics; it has devolved into a family drama."

BJP State President Dilip Kumar Jaiswal also conveyed optimism regarding the NDA's prospects. In a statement to IANS, he remarked, "Today marks the start of the first phase of our election campaign, inaugurated by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Following this, on October 24, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay homage to the late Karpoori Thakur, commemorating him as a leader of the people, which will formally launch the NDA's campaign. While Tejashwi and Rahul Gandhi engage in a contest for the title of 'Janayak', the public is aware that we must avert a return to the 'jungle raj'. The NDA is poised to regain governance.

Referring to the ticket distribution by RJD, Jaiswal added, "Our Home Minister Amit Shah aptly noted in Saran that the RJD has begun ticket distribution from Shahabuddin's family, underscoring their misplaced focus. Their arbitrary ticket allocation signifies a desire to restore 'jungle raj', yet the people of Bihar have seen through their tactics. The NDA will win with a decisive majority."

In remarks about the elections, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, currently in Bihar, also expressed confidence in victory.

In his statement to IANS, he said, "Our Prime Minister is our supreme leader and the head of the NDA. In every election, his initiatives are in motion. Bihar awaits Prime Minister Modi's visit eagerly. Preparations are in full swing, and the NDA is steadily advancing towards victory."
