Patna, Sep 27 (NationPress) The Union Home Minister Amit Shah delivered a passionate speech to about 4,000 handpicked Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) members from the Bhagalpur, Kosi, and Seemanchal regions, urging for a significant NDA triumph in the forthcoming Bihar Assembly elections.
Shah drew a stark contrast between the BJP's electoral approach and that of the opposition, stating: "While other parties conduct public rallies during elections, the BJP organizes workers' conventions because leaders from rival parties are concerned about securing their own positions, whereas our party activists are dedicated to fighting for the nation."
In a pointed critique of the opposition, Shah asserted that Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Lalu Prasad Yadav and Congress chief Rahul Gandhi are primarily focused on their personal and party ambitions.
"For Rahul Gandhi and Lalu Yadav, this election is about their party's victory. For Lalu Yadav, it's about installing his son as the Chief Minister of Bihar. For us (BJP), it's about eliminating infiltrators from every corner of Bihar," he emphasized.
He called on BJP workers to not only preserve their victory margin but also to reclaim Kishanganj, the only seat lost in the 2020 Assembly elections.
Shah promised decisive action if the NDA secures a two-thirds majority in Bihar, stating: "Once you grant us (NDA) a clear mandate, I assure you we'll work tirelessly to expel infiltrators one by one. Lalu Yadav and Rahul Gandhi's parties aim to protect them, but we will remove them."
This assertive stance comes as Bihar gears up for a crucial Assembly election, with the BJP eager to strengthen its influence in the sensitive Seemanchal region.
He also pointed out, "The first Diwali commemorates Lord Ram's return to Ayodhya. The second celebrates Prime Minister Narendra Modi's transfer of Rs 10,000 each to the accounts of 75 lakh 'Jeevika Didis' yesterday, the third marks PM Modi's significant reduction or elimination of over 395 items under the GST, and the fourth Diwali will celebrate the formation of an NDA-led BJP government with over 160 seats in Bihar."
Linking the upcoming Assembly elections to the issue of illegal immigration in Bihar, Shah claimed that Lalu Prasad Yadav and Rahul Gandhi wish to maintain voting rights for infiltrators.
"Among the residents of Kosi and Seemanchal, no legitimate Indian citizen's vote has been canceled. However, those who have illegally entered from other countries should lose their voting rights," he stated.
Shah further charged previous Congress-RJD governments with corruption and mismanagement in Bihar, warning voters, "This election is crucial to ensuring that 'Lalu Raj' does not return and 'Jungle Raj' does not resurface."
He urged BJP workers to rally support for a two-thirds majority for the NDA, framing the upcoming election as a choice between development under PM Modi's leadership and corruption and chaos under opposition rule.
