Ahmedabad, Feb 20 (NationPress) Criticizing the opposition, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Nitin Nabin asserted on Friday that party workers are always present among the populace, stating that there are “part-time politicians who show up only during elections.”

Nabin is on a three-day tour of Gujarat following his appointment as the BJP National President.

During a felicitation event held at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, he expressed, “BJP workers are consistently engaged with the community, while certain parties rely on politicians who are only active during election time.”

He encouraged party members to maintain a constant connection with citizens and to prioritize public service as their main duty.

Upon his arrival, Nabin was welcomed by Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, state BJP President Jagdish Vishwakarma, Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, Karnavati City BJP President Prerak Shah, and other senior leaders. A significant number of BJP supporters were also present.

In his speech, Nabin mentioned the upcoming years of 2027 and 2029, urging party workers to bolster their grassroots presence. He claimed that certain groups were “again emerging” and alleged that they lacked concern for national security or the common people's welfare, focusing instead on their personal agendas.

He characterized BJP workers as “full-time politicians” who are always in touch with the public. Acknowledging Gujarat’s historical significance, Nabin expressed respect for the land that has produced Prime Minister Narendra Modi and has contributed leadership on both national and global stages.

“From this soil, Mahatma Gandhi promoted the message of non-violence, giving India a unique international identity, while Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s role in unifying the nation is a point of pride for every Gujarati,” he stated.

He emphasized that Gujarat has produced numerous distinguished individuals who have enriched its culture and heritage.

Nabin remarked that 21st-century India is advancing towards development while honoring its traditions, attributing this positive trajectory to Prime Minister Modi.

He also acknowledged Union Home Minister Amit Shah, noting the party’s significant growth during his term as BJP National President. “Thanks to the tireless efforts and dedication of party workers, Gujarat is on the path to becoming a developed state,” he asserted.

He highlighted that Gujarat has witnessed continuous development under BJP administrations, with welfare schemes reaching towns and villages statewide.

“Today, Gujarat is not only leading the nation but also inspiring the world,” Nabin declared, adding that under the Prime Minister’s guidance, India is acquiring a new global stature.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, addressing the audience, referred to Nabin as a leader who has observed India’s evolution throughout the years and noted his vast experience in governance and organizational roles across several states.

“The essence and character of the world’s largest democratic party is that even a booth-level worker can rise to the position of National President through commitment, skill, and capability,” Patel stated.

He added that the BJP transcends being just a political party; it is a movement dedicated to national service, progress, and public welfare.

He emphasized that the cooperation between the government and the organization has bolstered the party’s reputation as a “party with a difference,” expressing confidence that Nabin’s leadership would further empower the organization and guide younger members.

State BJP President Jagdish Vishwakarma remarked that Nabin views politics not merely as a pursuit of power but as a journey founded on values and determination. “His transition from a grassroots worker to the National President of the world’s largest party serves as a source of pride and motivation for all members,” Vishwakarma praised.

He concluded, “Organization is the heart of the BJP, and its workers constitute its strength.”

Nabin is set to continue his activities in Gujarat over the next two days as part of his visit.
