Agartala, Jan 13 (NationPress) Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha stated on Tuesday that no force can prevent the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from establishing a government in West Bengal, accusing the ruling party of devastating the state.

During an organizational meeting at the Araliya community hall, Saha remarked that fear signifies weakness and that those who are intimidated cannot instigate social transformation.

“Once adversaries of the CPI (M), they have now united to contest elections. What sort of policy is this? These are merely indications of apprehension. We inhabit a democracy that permits diverse opinions. The CPI (M) excels at disseminating falsehoods,” he asserted.

The Chief Minister contended that the Congress had multiple chances to instigate change but squandered them.

“They opposed the CPI (M)'s misrule yet ultimately deceived the populace merely to participate in elections. We now comprehend how the CPI (M) governed the state for 35 years,” he added.

Saha underscored that hard work is irreplaceable and mentioned that the double-engine government is operating at full capacity.

“In the days ahead, the CPI (M) will be nonexistent. The BJP serves the populace, while the opposition focuses solely on self-interest. Despite reaping government benefits, they continually alter their positions,” he stated.

Highlighting the party’s principles, the Chief Minister indicated that the BJP aligns with the philosophy of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay, which asserts that serving humanity is akin to serving God.

“Before 2014, the nation, including the Northeast, faced substantial hardships. Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's ascension, the landscape transformed. We are not a party of thugs; we operate strictly within legal boundaries. Our ambition is to create a ‘New Tripura’,” he explained.

Saha remarked that the party must now concentrate on the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) and the ten state Assembly seats currently occupied by the CPI (M).

“The CPI (M) is infamous for its violence and terror during its governance. Numerous lives were lost, and justice was elusive. People had to seek assistance from party offices. However, since the BJP assumed power, political murders have ceased in the state,” he claimed.

Referring to West Bengal, the Chief Minister mentioned that citizens there are resisting what he referred to as attempts to undermine the state’s integrity.

“Bengal, a land that once nurtured many illustrious figures, has been ravaged by the Trinamool Congress. The people are voicing their concerns, and we firmly believe that the BJP will triumph. No one can obstruct our progress,” he concluded.

During the event, Rajya Sabha member and BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee along with other party leaders were present.

Point of View

It is imperative to recognize the significant implications of Manik Saha's statements.
