Agartala, Oct 22 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Tripura, Manik Saha, addressed concerns on Wednesday about ongoing divisive politics and conspiracies reminiscent of communist tactics, asserting that attempts to mislead the Janajati (tribal) community are futile.
In his speech during the inauguration of the Takajala party office in the Sepahijala district, Chief Minister Saha, a prominent leader of the BJP, emphasized the people's commitment to peace, development, and democracy. He stated that his administration will not condone any form of violence or intimidation in the state.
“Any aggression towards us will be met with an appropriate legal response,” he declared.
During the event, 690 voters from 200 families, predominantly from the tribal community, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party, and Saha welcomed them warmly.
CM Saha remarked: “Our predecessors laid the groundwork for the BJP through selflessness. Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee faced an untimely death in Jammu and Kashmir while defending India's unity. The BJP remains committed to the principles of Pandit Deen Dayal Ji. Our party members are undeterred by challenges.”
While refraining from naming specific parties, the Chief Minister warned that attempts to obstruct the BJP or incite violence would ultimately be unsuccessful.
“The BJP gained power by strengthening its organizational structure,” Saha stated, cautioning that those who threaten the party are indulging in fantasies.
He asserted: “Every individual has the right to engage in politics, but it must be done with respect. We have experienced the rule of the Communists and the Congress, during which we witnessed murder, terrorism, and arson.”
The BJP stands for Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, as everyone deserves progress, and the party is aligned with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Saha stressed.
He further noted that the BJP's Janajati Morcha is dedicated to the advancement of the tribal community, asserting that any attempts to hinder this growth would be misguided.
Addressing a recent attack on the local Mandal President's home in Takajala, the Chief Minister criticized the recurrence of such actions, likening them to the tactics of the Communists. He expressed a desire to transform the political narrative of Tripura, inspired by the Prime Minister's innovative approach.
“If someone wishes to voice their concerns, they are welcome to do so. We will take necessary measures for our safety. We won't harm anyone, but we will seek justice if wronged,” Saha concluded, reiterating the government's commitment to enhancing the socio-economic status of the Janajati community.
“Previously, various parties exploited the Janajati community for electoral gain, misguiding them onto the streets. Since our government assumed power, we have prioritized their development,” he stated.
The meeting was attended by key party figures, including BJP state President and Rajya Sabha member Rajib Bhattacharjee, state party General Secretary Bipin Debbarma, tribal welfare minister Bikas Debbarma, district president Biplab Chakraborty, and Takajala Mandal leader Nirmal Debbarma, along with other senior party officials.
