Agartala, Jan 13 (NationPress) The Chief Minister of Tripura, Manik Saha, stated on Tuesday that it is a humanitarian obligation to support individuals during challenging times, emphasizing that the current state administration is dedicated to a humanitarian and people-focused approach.
Saha made these comments while attending a winter clothing distribution event for the residents of Pratapgarh under the Agartala Municipal Corporation.
While addressing the attendees, the Chief Minister mentioned that similar initiatives were held on Monday as well, adding that such actions foster joy for both those receiving assistance and those providing it.
“Assisting others enriches us. Offering aid to those in need is a reflection of humanity. Even amidst calamities, there lie chances to serve others,” he remarked.
Saha pointed out that while many only seek votes during elections, the government has been actively organizing social welfare initiatives with a humanitarian perspective, which also enhances the relationship between the government and its citizens.
Referring to the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister asserted that the principles of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas, and Sabka Vishwas are not just slogans but hold great significance.
“The core belief of the Bharatiya Janata Party is that service is our religion. It has a spiritual essence and is a fundamental component of our party’s philosophy. Through initiatives like blood donation and social service, we forge connections among individuals and fulfill our societal responsibilities,” he stated.
Saha mentioned that the Prime Minister serves as a guiding light for the state government, which operates under his leadership to engage every segment of society.
“We have launched programs like the Lakhpati Didi scheme, focusing on enhancing the socio-economic status of women. Strengthening self-help groups is a priority to realize this vision. Our aim is to create a ‘New Tripura’,” he said.
The Chief Minister also emphasized that the government would not tolerate any form of disorder within the state.
“We aspire to maintain tranquility in Tripura. Those who are straying onto the wrong path must cease their actions. As guardians, we will take all necessary measures to ensure peace and harmony,” Saha concluded.
