Jaipur, July 16 (NationPress) The president of the Rajasthan unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rajya Sabha MP Madan Rathore reviewed the arrangements for the imminent “Cooperation and Employment Festival” scheduled for July 17 in Dadiya.
During his media interaction, Rathore launched a stinging critique against the opposition, particularly targeting Congress leaders who have long been entrenched in the cooperative sector.
"The leaders who have clung to their positions in the cooperative sector for years are now apprehensive about losing their posts. For a significant period, Congress leaders reigned over the cooperative department. However, with the rising participation of everyday citizens—who are now entering elections—the cooperative movement is evolving to be more democratic and inclusive. Ultimately, this will fortify the sector," he stated.
Pointing out a political power shift, Rathore emphasized: "The growing engagement of the common man is dismantling Congress's longstanding dominance in cooperatives. This is precisely why Congress is opposing our initiatives—they are afraid of losing their monopoly."
He further remarked, "Cooperative Minister Amit Shah does not seek political gain; he is dedicated to serving the populace. This is why the public willingly supports him—due to the trust and development he has fostered. Today, people back us not out of obligation, but through faith in service."
Rathore highlighted that the cooperative sector—which includes PACS, agricultural and milk committees, cooperative banks, among others—aims to connect and uplift all segments of society.
In response to calls for a separate state, Rathore stated: "Demanding a separate state based on caste is a divisive approach. Such demands should serve the interests of the entire society. The notion of forming a new state by fragmenting four others is sheer fantasy—it is simply impractical."
He reiterated that the government led by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma is focused on holistic development, which is resulting in the empowerment and prosperity of the common man.
“Those whose political influence is waning are now attempting to rekindle their relevance by inciting public sentiment—but this will not be effective,” he declared.
On the subject of the plantation drive, Rathore stated, "With favorable monsoon conditions, this is the ideal time for planting trees. Everyone should engage in campaigns like ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam.’ Numerous social organizations across the state are actively contributing. This is a non-political initiative, and individuals from all backgrounds are stepping up to plant trees and support environmental efforts."
