Buxar (Bihar), July 16 (NationPress) A remarkable step has been initiated by the Bihar government to empower the Divyangjans toward self-sufficiency. Through the Chief Minister Laghu Udhyami Yojana, a financial aid of Rs 2 lakh is being disbursed to eligible Divyang beneficiaries in three phases.
As part of this initiative, Rs 50,000 was allocated as the first phase of assistance, igniting fresh aspirations among the Divyangjans.
The recipients also engaged in a virtual meeting with the District Magistrate. During the session, Hridaya Yadav, the National Executive President of the Divyang Sangh, commended Chief Minister Nitish Kumar for this initiative, stating, "We extend our heartfelt thanks to the government on behalf of Bihar's Divyangjans. This scheme represents a beacon of hope for those below the poverty line."
"Our demand is not merely for pensions; we seek employment, education, healthcare, and basic necessities from the government. This scheme has propelled our Divyang brothers towards self-employment. Training sessions are being conducted, and new industries are emerging, fostering positive transformations in their lives," he elaborated.
Benefiting from this scheme, numerous Divyangjans are now taking significant strides towards self-employment. For instance, Abhishek, a hearing-impaired individual from Buxar, has launched 'New Gupta Line Hotel' on NH-922. His father, Harendra Shah, remarked that the initial assistance from the Chief Minister's Small Entrepreneur Scheme has bolstered his son's business.
Harendra Shah expressed, "My son has established the hotel independently. Government support has been instrumental in his progress, and we are immensely grateful for this."
Other beneficiaries, August Upadhyay and Vishnu Paswan, also lauded the government's initiative, affirming that it has elevated their self-worth and provided them with a chance to integrate into the mainstream.
Another beneficiary shared, "The Chief Minister's Small Entrepreneur Scheme has undeniably ushered in a new sense of hope for the Divyangjans of Bihar. This initiative inspires employment, dignity, and self-reliance, promising transformative changes for millions of disabled individuals in the future."
