Gadag (Karnataka), Nov 11 (NationPress) Former Chief Minister and BJP Member of Parliament, Basavaraj Bommai, stated on Tuesday that for centuries, various global influences and certain factions within our society have made attempts to fragment and undermine Sanatan Dharma. He emphasized that all these efforts have been in vain, and every force that sought to challenge this sacred faith has ultimately been eradicated.
While addressing a significant gathering organized by the Atirudra Mahayaga Seva Samiti at the V.D.S.T.C. School Grounds in Gadag, as part of the Kiriya Kumbha Mela's extensive procession and Shobha Yatra, Bommai remarked that where divinity exists, so does God.
He noted, “When observers see women carrying the sacred Kumbha (pot), they witness the essence of Adi Shakti herself. Every individual is a source of energy, and the way they harness that energy, along with its purpose, shapes their reputation, achievements, and fate.”
Bommai further asserted, “For centuries, both external and internal influences have attempted to fracture Sanatana Hindu Dharma, but they have never triumphed. Hinduism is grounded in a philosophy of nobility and a lifestyle of acceptance and inclusivity.”
“Thus, no earthly power can destabilize it. Every force that has endeavored to harm this Dharma has been eliminated,” he highlighted.
Bommai urged devotees of Hindu Dharma to remain united in their reverence for God, engage in altruistic actions, lead lives of service, seek blessings from their gurus, and through these Yajnas, overcome their egos and evolve into better individuals.
The former Chief Minister also stated that the Union government will implement all necessary actions to counteract forces that incite unrest in the nation through terrorist activities.
He mentioned that an investigation is already underway regarding the bomb blast in Delhi.
“Authorities are looking into who owned the vehicle, its sale history, and any terrorist connections. Prompt action was taken within four to five hours following the explosion,” he said.
Bommai expressed confidence that “soon, not only in the Red Fort but across the entire nation, the Central government will take every possible step to dismantle these forces that propagate terrorism and disorder.”
In response to a question about Chief Minister Siddaramaiah's claim that “India cannot be established as a Hindu nation,” Bommai remarked, “Siddaramaiah is making such unfounded statements merely to protect his position as Chief Minister. He argues that transforming India into a Hindu nation is irrelevant, while simultaneously blaming the Centre for everything -- he is merely staging a political performance to maintain his authority.”
Addressing the allegation by Legislative Council member B.K. Hariprasad that the Delhi bomb blast signifies a failure of the Union Home Department, the former Chief Minister replied, “Does Hariprasad have any other responsibilities? Every morning there are incidents of violence in Karnataka. How often has the Karnataka government faltered? Why does he not question that?”
