Hyderabad, Oct 31 (NationPress) As he launched the campaign for the upcoming by-election in the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency, Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy criticized the BRS and BJP for having a 'Fevicol bond'.
Reddy claimed that former Chief Minister and BRS leader K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), along with party working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, were spreading misinformation about the people’s government and obstructing the state's progress.
Speaking at a corner meeting in Vengal Rao Nagar, he stated that BJP leaders shared covert relations with BRS. He pointed out that the BJP’s success in eight Lok Sabha seats last year serves as proof of their collaboration.
CM Reddy also criticized Union Minister Kishan Reddy for hindering the Musi project and the extension of the Hyderabad Metro Rail.
He questioned whether Kishan Reddy and fellow Central Minister Bandi Sanjay Kumar had contributed any funds to the state. “They shamelessly claim they will carpet bomb Jubilee Hills. The BJP MPs are wandering around Jubilee Hills without seeking funds from PM Modi,” asserted the CM.
Reddy highlighted that the Congress party has initiated significant development projects worth Rs 4,000 crore in Secunderabad Cantonment after their recent by-election victory, urging Jubilee Hills voters to back Congress candidate Naveen Yadav.
“It’s crucial for the constituency's development and not just sentiment. Political scenarios fluctuate. It would be a historical blunder not to elect Congress in this by-election,” he remarked.
The by-election for Jubilee Hills is set for November 11, triggered by the passing of the incumbent MLA Maganti Gopinath of BRS. The opposition has nominated his wife, Maganti Sunitha.
The BJP has re-nominated Lankala Deepak Reddy.
The Chief Minister also criticized KTR for neglecting Jubilee Hills during his decade-long tenure as Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development.
“The previous leaders plundered the state and never attended to public grievances in Jubilee Hills. The electorate must judge who the real troublemakers are. BRS leaders fostered a drug culture, while Naveen Yadav has consistently supported the underprivileged in the constituency,” he asserted, addressing the allegations made against the Congress candidate.
Additionally, the Chief Minister questioned the BJP’s discontent over the induction of Congress leader Mohammed Azharuddin into his cabinet.
“Why is the BJP so disturbed after Azharuddin received a ministerial role?” he posed.
He vowed to shoulder the development responsibilities of Jubilee Hills with the collaboration of Azharuddin and Naveen Yadav post-election.
