Hyderabad, Aug 7 (NationPress) The working president of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), K.T. Rama Rao, has accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and the Congress administration of misleading the Backward Classes (BCs) while engaging in incessant political performance.
During an event at Telangana Bhavan welcoming new members from the Parigi constituency into the BRS, he sharply criticized the Congress party's management of BC reservations and its overall governance shortcomings.
Known as KTR, he claimed that the Congress party has deceived the populace regarding BC reservations.
"They assured a legal 42 percent reservation prior to the elections to gain votes. Now, CM Revanth Reddy states that BC reservations will only be granted if Rahul Gandhi becomes Prime Minister. Was this condition part of the BC Declaration?" he questioned.
KTR contrasted this with former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), who succeeded in securing Telangana statehood. "Can Revanth assert he has retrieved BC reservations from Delhi?" he challenged.
He mocked the Chief Minister, stating that even in Delhi, Revanth could not stop referencing KCR. "It seems Revanth is mentally fixated on KCR. He exhibits clear signs of KCR-phobia," KTR ridiculed.
He emphasized that the Congress government is manipulating the BC reservations topic to divert attention from other commitments stated in the BC Declaration.
Labeling Revanth Reddy's governance as a "drama," the BRS leader remarked, "When I highlight his betrayal of BCs and his pretense of governance, Revanth responds with personal attacks. The reality is that everything he's engaged in—whether with Modi, Rahul Gandhi, or even for Chandrababu Naidu—is nothing but sheer drama."
KTR also questioned Revanth's silence regarding over 420 pre-election promises. "His assertion that he will remain in Congress until the end is merely another act," KTR asserted.
Taking a jab at defected MLAs, he said, "Those who switched parties are now in such a regrettable state that they can’t even articulate their party affiliation. They’ve transitioned from displaying party scarves to concealing themselves behind divine ones."
He criticized the Speaker for being oblivious to the MLAs' party status, stating that even children in the state were aware of which party they had joined.
With local body elections approaching, KTR cautioned the public that Congress leaders were gearing up to distribute money accumulated through 20 months of "corrupt" governance. He urged voters to back the BRS if they wanted to halt Congress' "atrocities" and ensure officials address public grievances.
KTR painted a bleak picture of Congress governance, pointing out power outages, fertilizer shortages, and "failing" rural and urban management.
He lamented that Telangana has regressed by a decade.
"After the elections, they will even annul Rythu Bandhu," he warned.
"Under this Congress regime, no individual or community has escaped betrayal," KTR remarked.
He stated that during BRS' decade in power, the emphasis was on Telangana's development, and while the cadre may not have received personal attention, he assured that once BRS is reinstated, workers would be recognized and provided growth opportunities.
He called on all senior leaders and grassroots workers to exert themselves and secure victories in every village during the forthcoming local body elections.
"As long as Telangana exists, the pink flag will wave high. We will eradicate Congress and BJP and restore KCR as the Chief Minister," he concluded.
