Hyderabad, March 10 (NationPress) Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao on Monday accused Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of acting as a covert operative for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

KTR alleged that Revanth Reddy has neglected critical issues facing the state, such as Backward Class reservations.

KTR, widely recognized as the BRS leader, informed reporters that Revanth Reddy’s activities over the past 15 months suggest a hidden partnership with the BJP, obstructing Telangana’s development. “It’s evident that Revanth Reddy is functioning as a BJP covert,” KTR asserted, referencing Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s recent remarks about “BJP agents” within his own party as a direct allusion to the Chief Minister. “Rahul Gandhi’s statements in Rajasthan were clearly aimed at Revanth Reddy,” he claimed.

The BRS leader pointed out a post-budget meeting between Revanth Reddy and Prime Minister Narendra Modi as indicative of a secret agenda. “Revanth approached Modi with 11 proposals post-budget, but the true intention was different. Why was Minister Sridhar Babu asked to leave? What was discussed privately between Revanth and the PM? The people of Telangana deserve transparency,” KTR emphasized.

KTR demanded accountability, questioning what real advantages the state has gained during Revanth’s time in office concerning central support or projects.

The BRS Working President expressed significant doubt regarding Revanth Reddy’s dedication to Backward Classes, challenging the Chief Minister to demonstrate his commitment through action. “If Revanth Reddy truly cares about BCs, he should initiate an indefinite hunger strike in Delhi until 42% reservation is achieved,” KTR declared.

He argued that both Congress and BJP could easily amend the Constitution to enhance BC quotas if they were genuinely interested, but instead, they are using BCs as a voting bloc without delivering justice.

In contrast, KTR highlighted the BRS’ proactive measures, noting that the party had passed resolutions early in its governance to improve BC reservations and establish a BC Welfare Ministry at the national level. “We demanded a caste census long before Rahul Gandhi even considered it,” he noted, criticizing Congress for failing to provide even 20 Assembly seats to BC candidates in elections.

Discussing the political environment, KTR accused Revanth Reddy and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy of staging a “scripted drama” to distract from public issues. “This is a premeditated act to conceal the government’s failures,” he stated. “The recent MLC election will not yield any genuine benefits for the BJP — it’s merely hype on social media with scant reality.”

KTR alleged a covert agreement between Congress and BJP to weaken regional parties like the BRS, pointing to the lack of BJP-led protests against the state government’s purported corruption and unmet promises over the last 15 months.
