Burnley, July 12 (NationPress) Burnley has successfully re-acquired winger Jacob Bruun Larsen from VfB Stuttgart for an undisclosed fee.
The 26-year-old talent honed his skills at Dortmund, where he made 41 appearances for the Black and Yellows, prior to transferring to Hoffenheim in January 2020.
During his five seasons in the Bundesliga, Larsen also enjoyed a loan spell at RSC Anderlecht during the 2020/21 season in the Belgian Pro League and previously played at Turf Moor during last year’s Premier League campaign.
After leaving Hoffenheim in January, he returned to Stuttgart before making his way back to the Clarets this summer, marking him as the sixth signing of the transfer period.
Larsen, who previously netted six goals for the Clarets in the Premier League two seasons ago, has signed a four-year contract with the club.
Expressing his joy upon rejoining, Larsen stated, “I’m thrilled to be back, honestly. It's a wonderful feeling.
“It was an easy decision for me; as soon as I learned of the Club's interest, I knew I was ready to return and sign here permanently. I can’t wait to run out that tunnel again at Turf Moor in a few weeks and see all the fans again.”
In other news, Burnley announced that goalkeeper Sam Waller has moved to Crewe Alexandra on a season-long loan.
The shot-stopper, who has been part of the club since he was 12, has previously had loan spells with clubs such as Rochdale, Hyde United, and Lancaster City.
Waller will now join Crewe for the 2025/26 season to gain more first-team experience in the EFL.
