New Delhi, Dec 31 (NationPress) The Central government announced on Wednesday the allocation of Rs 224.5762 crore for Panchayati Raj Institutions and Rural Local Bodies in Chhattisgarh. This funding marks the first instalment of Untied Grants for the financial year 2025-26, as per the directives of the 15th Finance Commission.
This financial support will benefit 11,279 eligible Gram Panchayats, 138 eligible Block Panchayats, and 26 eligible District Panchayats within the state, according to the Ministry of Panchayati Raj.
Through the collaboration of the Ministry of Panchayati Raj and the Ministry of Jal Shakti, these grants are suggested for release to states for Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) and Rural Local Bodies (RLBs), which the Ministry of Finance subsequently distributes.
