Chennai, Nov 19 (NationPress) Tamil Nadu is gearing up to host the third edition of the ‘TN Rising Conclave’ in Coimbatore on November 25. The state government is poised to sign a new series of investment agreements across sectors such as electronics, general manufacturing, textiles, and the rapidly developing aerospace and defence industries.

This event represents a significant advancement in the state’s approach to decentralized industrial growth, following successful regional summits in Thoothukudi and Hosur. These prior events attracted impressive investor interest, with Thoothukudi securing commitments totaling Rs 32,554 crore and Hosur achieving agreements amounting to Rs 24,307 crore.

According to Tamil Nadu Industries Minister T.R.B. Raaja, the 'TN Rising Conclave' in Coimbatore is a continuation of the state’s strategy for decentralized industrial development, building on the momentum created by earlier summits.

The Coimbatore conclave is anticipated to enhance this positive trend. For Coimbatore, this event is arriving at a crucial juncture. Traditionally seen as an industrial hub, the region is transforming into a diversified economic center that marries its historical manufacturing prowess with emerging industries such as Global Capability Centres (GCCs), information technology services, and innovative startups.

Coimbatore is home to over 25 GCCs, and numerous domestic and international IT companies have expanded their presence in the area in recent times. This growth is evident in the real estate market, which has absorbed approximately 7 lakh sq ft of office space from January to September 2025.

Current vacancy rates are notably low, under 4 percent, indicating a steady influx of tech firms, service industries, and startups. As demand consistently outstrips supply, nearly two million sq ft of office space is in the approval pipeline to accommodate the growing needs of companies aiming to expand in the region.

Industry experts observe that while major developers are considering large-scale tech parks, smaller developers are also stepping up to create standalone office spaces ranging from 100,000 to 200,000 sq ft. This dual development trend is expected to significantly transform Coimbatore’s commercial real estate landscape in the upcoming years.

The forthcoming conclave is likely to bolster the region’s growth trajectory by linking global investors directly with Coimbatore’s talented workforce, its MSME ecosystem, and its well-established industrial clusters.

Officials view this event as a chance to further stimulate economic activity in western Tamil Nadu, signaling that significant investments can occur beyond Chennai.

With an ongoing surge in investor interest and substantial commercial infrastructure developments on the horizon, Coimbatore is set to emerge as one of Tamil Nadu’s most vibrant growth engines in the near future, according to officials.
