Key Takeaways
Mumbai, Feb 20 (NationPress) Maharashtra's Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis vehemently criticized the shirtless demonstration carried out by some members of the Indian Youth Congress against the central government and the Indo-US trade agreement, labeling it as utterly disgraceful and deplorable.
In a statement shared on X, CM Fadnavis remarked, “It is profoundly regrettable that the Congress Party has descended to such depths. The actions witnessed at Bharat Mandapam today exemplify their anti-India behavior, which is now at its zenith, and they have once again been unmasked. This was a calculated, orchestrated effort to disrupt India’s momentous position as a leader in technology on the global stage. An absolute disgrace!”
While addressing the summit, CM Fadnavis asserted, “We categorically condemn such occurrences and insist on severe repercussions for those responsible for this brutal attempt to tarnish Bharat’s image and esteem.”
The state Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule alleged that the Congress party, led by Rahul Gandhi, intentionally caused chaos at the AI summit, aiming to undermine India’s standing, describing their behavior as utterly despicable and shameful.
“This is not just a political maneuver but a blatant affront to our nation’s dignity. This incident has starkly revealed the reckless and aimless leadership of Congress and Rahul Gandhi,” he stated.
Minister Bawankule pointed out that while global leaders and tech experts are lauding India, the Congress party has allegedly sought to damage the nation's reputation—actions that critics deem detrimental to national interests.
The president of Maharashtra BJP, Ravindra Chavan, criticized Congress, asserting that it has now become AI Anti-India due to Rahul Gandhi.
He firmly stated that Congress's conspiracy to instigate chaos and hinder India's development will never prevail, despite the progress being made across the nation.
The president of Mumbai BJP, Tejinder Singh Tiwana, condemned the actions taken by Congress members on an international platform.
“Congress cannot bear India's advancements; hence, they have exhibited their anti-national mentality through such actions. The Congress party’s conduct is not only rude but also highly condemnable,” he noted.
He further emphasized that insulting the Prime Minister and creating disturbances at an international level is not just a blow to democratic values but also to the nation's progress and the future of its youth.
“The Congress party must promptly apologize and take stringent measures against those responsible,” he concluded.
