Jaipur, April 15 (NationPress) Rajasthan's Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma convened a crucial meeting on Wednesday, urging officials to guarantee a consistent and adequate power supply throughout the state. During the high-level review session at his residence, Sharma noted that effective management and strategic policy changes have significantly enhanced power generation capacities while also leading to a marked decrease in transmission and distribution losses.
He pointed out the impressive advancements made in Rajasthan's renewable energy sector, reiterating the government’s commitment to delivering reliable and high-quality electricity to every household and agricultural operation.
“We are committed to ensuring an ample power supply for residential, agricultural, and industrial consumers,” he stated.
The Chief Minister mentioned that farmers across 24 districts are currently benefitting from daytime electricity, offering substantial relief to the farming community.
He expressed the government’s ambition to expand this service to the entire state by 2027.
Sharma also highlighted the significance of pumped storage projects as efficient and cost-effective solutions for future energy requirements.
Moreover, he emphasized the vital role of battery storage systems in bolstering clean energy initiatives and maintaining grid stability.
“These projects are set to be instrumental in providing high-quality and reliable electricity to consumers in the years ahead,” he asserted, directing officials to prioritize their implementation.
Attendees of the meeting included Minister of State for Energy (Independent Charge) Hiralal Nagar, Chief Secretary V. Srinivas, Principal Secretary (Finance) Vaibhav Galariya, Energy Secretary Aarti Dogra, and other senior officials.
In a subsequent post on X, the Chief Minister praised the advancements in Rajasthan's dairy sector, noting that it is thriving and setting an example of self-reliance.
“With the aid of modern technology, empowered policies, and the commitment of our diligent livestock rearers, a new narrative of prosperity is unfolding in every village,” he remarked.
