New Delhi, Nov 20 (NationPress) With the investigation into the November 10 Delhi blast case gaining momentum, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has apprehended four additional key suspects linked to the terror attack, raising the total number of arrests to six.
The NIA reports that three of the suspects hail from Jammu and Kashmir, while one is from Uttar Pradesh.
The identified suspects include Dr. Muzammil Shakeel Ganai from Pulwama, Dr. Adeel Ahmed Rather from Anantnag, Mufti Irfan Ahmad Wagay from Shopian, all from Jammu and Kashmir, and Dr. Shaheen Saeed from Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh).
According to the NIA, the four suspects were detained in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, based on production orders from the District Sessions Judge at Patiala House Court.
The NIA's investigation indicates that these individuals played a significant role in the terror attack that resulted in numerous civilian casualties and injuries.
Acting swiftly, the NIA had previously arrested two suspects: Amir Rashid Ali, who is linked to the vehicle used in the explosion, and Jasir Bilal Wani, also known as Danish, who allegedly provided technical support to the terrorists involved in the assault.
As per an earlier statement, Jasir is accused of assisting in terror activities by modifying drones and trying to manufacture rockets prior to the catastrophic car bomb explosion, which claimed 13 lives and injured 32 others.
Earlier this week, a Delhi court remanded Aamir Rashid Ali, a suspect from Kashmir accused of conspiring with Umar, to 10 days of NIA custody. Ali was arrested on November 16.
The NIA stated, “Interrogation of the suspects is ongoing as part of efforts to uncover the full extent of the terror conspiracy in case RC-21/2025/NIA/DLI.”
Tasked with the investigation by the Union Home Ministry right after the attack, the anti-terror agency is collaborating closely with various state police departments to locate and apprehend all members of the terrorist network involved in the assault.
