New Delhi, Nov 18 (NationPress) The Patiala House Court has ordered that Jasir Bilal Wani, also known as Danish, an aide to the bomber Dr Umar Muhammad, be remanded to 10 days of NIA custody.
Earlier today, the NIA presented Wani in court concerning his involvement in the Delhi blast that resulted in the loss of 13 lives. Wani was apprehended by the agency on Monday, being a significant accomplice who allegedly rendered technical support to the terrorists implicated in the incident.
Wani hails from Kashmir and was taken into custody in Srinagar. The agency's investigation suggests he had provided technical help for executing terror activities, including modifying drones and attempting to engineer rockets prior to the devastating car bomb explosion.
The accused, who resides in Qazigund, Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir, is believed to have been an active co-conspirator in the assault. He collaborated closely with the terrorist Dr Umar Muhammad Nabi in the planning and execution of this act of terror.
The NIA is actively exploring multiple angles to unveil the comprehensive conspiracy behind the bombing. Various teams from the anti-terror agency are following leads and conducting searches across several states to identify everyone involved in the attack.
On the previous day, a Delhi court also remanded Aamir Rashid Ali, a Kashmiri resident charged with colluding with Muhammad, to 10 days of NIA custody. Ali, under whose name the car used in the blast was registered, was arrested on November 16 during a large-scale search operation initiated after the NIA took over the investigation from the Delhi Police.
As per the findings of the NIA, Ali, who resides in Samboora, Pampore, Jammu and Kashmir, allegedly conspired with the suicide attacker Umar Nabi to orchestrate the terror strike. The agency indicated that Ali traveled to Delhi to assist in procuring the vehicle later utilized as an improvised explosive device (IED) for the explosion.
