Why Did Delhi CM Praise PM Modi and the Armed Forces During ‘Sindoor Yatra’?

New Delhi, May 19 (NationPress) - Delhi's Chief Minister Rekha Gupta spearheaded the BJP’s ‘Sindoor Yatra’ on Monday, expressing gratitude to the armed forces and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for avenging the Pahalgam terror attack and “preserving the honour and pride of the nation’s daughters and sisters.”

“On behalf of all Indian women, I extend my sincere thanks to our armed forces, bowing in respect and saluting their unparalleled bravery,” she remarked.

The Chief Minister highlighted that the Sindoor Yatra represents more than a ceremonial observance; it serves as a profound tribute from the women of India to our armed forces.

She noted that through Operation Sindoor, India’s courageous soldiers have heroically defended the dignity and pride of the nation’s daughters and sisters, a feat that fills the country with pride.

Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the government and military launched a decisive and bold counter-terrorism operation against Pakistan, effectively dismantling terrorist strongholds, she asserted.

BJP Mahila Morcha National President Vanathi Srinivasan, former Union Minister Smriti Irani, Delhi BJP Co-incharge Alka Gurjar, and MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat also addressed thousands of women during the Sindoor Yatra.

Delhi BJP Mahila Morcha President Richa Pandey, State Vice President Yogita Singh, State Minister Sarika Jain, General Secretary Priyal Bhardwaj, Sarita Tomar, and Vaishali Poddar were also part of the Yatra.

National President Vanathi Srinivasan mentioned that Mahila Morcha workers are organizing “Sindoor Yatras” nationwide.

Women are taking to the streets in every district and city, carrying the Indian tricolor, symbolizing the valor and courage of Indian soldiers.

She also expressed gratitude to PM Modi for his unwavering stance on terrorism and national security, making it clear that Pakistan will face consequences in a language it understands.

Smriti Irani stated that Operation Sindoor transcends being a mere campaign; it embodies the nation’s pride and dedication.

“It sends a powerful message to terrorists that whenever they target the women of this country, they will find the entire nation, the Government of India, and our armed forces standing to protect every daughter and mother,” she added.

She further emphasized that through Operation Sindoor, we honor all women, especially those mothers whose sons are safeguarding our borders.

Irani concluded that the strength of our Army at the border ensures the sindoor (vermilion) of our mothers and sisters remains secure.

She stated that the nation bows not just to the Army but also to PM Modi, who has assured that the country will neither bow nor break.
