New Delhi, May 7 (NationPress) Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Wednesday commended Operation Sindoor undertaken by the Indian Armed Forces, labeling it a momentous act of justice. She praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for honoring his commitment to respond to the tragic loss of innocent lives in the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack, which resulted in the death of 26 civilians, including one Nepali national.
In a powerful statement, CM Gupta expressed, “Today, the 140 crore citizens of India extend their deepest gratitude and salute to our esteemed Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi along with our armed forces. We bow before them for the justice delivered today to the sisters who lost their husbands to terrorism and to the innocent, defenseless individuals who were brutally slain.”
“Through Operation Sindoor, Pakistan has received a serious lesson. PM Modi had assured the sisters of our nation that the wrongs would be avenged, and he has made good on that promise,” she added.
Addressing opposition leaders who questioned the operation, Gupta remarked, “Those expressing doubts should take up arms themselves at the front lines. Our armed forces have exhibited unparalleled bravery. Pakistan has been given the strongest lesson yet.”
Echoing her sentiments, BJP leader Ravinder Singh Negi stated, “The terrorists have been eliminated. This action was a direct and appropriate response to the brutal Pahalgam attack. The entire nation sought a robust reply, and PM Modi has delivered. Even the unity of the opposition and the government sends a powerful message to the country.”
Operation Sindoor, a precisely executed Indian military operation, targeted nine terror infrastructure sites deep within Pakistan as well as Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
This action was taken in retaliation for the Pahalgam attack, traced back to Pakistan-based organizations including Lashkar-e-Taiba and its proxy, The Resistance Front.
The operation was conducted with surgical precision, closely monitored by Prime Minister Modi, NSA Ajit Doval, and senior military officials.
The Indian Army stated that the strikes were aimed solely at terrorist targets, sparing civilian and military infrastructure in Pakistan.
An Army spokesperson shared, “Our actions have been focused and precise. We have exclusively targeted terrorist camps from which attacks against India were being plotted and executed.”
The Indian Army posted on X, “Justice is served. Jai Hind.”
Operation Sindoor is being widely recognized as India’s most significant counter-terror operation since the 2019 Balakot airstrikes, reinforcing the country’s zero-tolerance approach to terrorism.
