New Delhi, May 7 (NationPress) Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi on Wednesday expressed strong admiration for the Indian Army’s precise military operation, 'Operation Sindoor', executed in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that tragically resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians, including a Nepali national.
On the social media platform X, Priyanka Gandhi stated, “We are exceedingly proud of our Army. Our courageous soldiers safeguard our freedom and integrity. May God shield them and grant them the strength to confront challenges with patience and valor. Jai Hind.”
Earlier that day, Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, along with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, also voiced their pride and support for the Indian armed forces following their precision strike, 'Operation Sindoor'.
This statement followed India's strategic military operation deep within Pakistani territory, targeting nine significant terrorist installations in both Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
These locations were believed to be associated with groups responsible for the Pahalgam terror attack, including The Resistance Front, a proxy group for Lashkar-e-Taiba.
Sources verified that the operation was carefully orchestrated and executed with surgical precision. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, and senior military commanders monitored the strikes throughout the night.
According to officials from the Indian Army, the operation specifically focused on terror infrastructure while steering clear of civilian, military, and economic targets in Pakistan.
“Our actions have been targeted and precise. We have solely aimed at terrorist camps from which attacks against India have been plotted and executed,” an Army spokesperson stated.
The Army clarified that the strike was non-escalatory in purpose, intended solely to neutralize threats emerging from across the border. “Justice is served. Jai Hind,” the spokesperson concluded.
'Operation Sindoor' is being recognized as one of India’s most pivotal cross-border military endeavors since the Balakot airstrikes in 2019, highlighting a sustained commitment to combating terrorism with strength, precision, and restraint.
