New Delhi, May 7 (NationPress) Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday praised the Indian Armed Forces for their remarkable precision and valor following the successful execution of 'Operation Sindoor', a high-precision military strike targeting terror infrastructure across the Line of Control in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
On the social media platform X, he stated, “Proud of our Armed Forces. Jai Hind!”
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also conveyed profound respect for the Indian Armed Forces after the accomplishment of Operation Sindoor.
In a post on X, Kharge remarked, “India maintains a steadfast National Policy against all forms of terrorism arising from Pakistan and PoK. We are immensely proud of our Indian Armed Forces, who have successfully targeted terror camps in Pakistan and PoK. We commend their unwavering determination and bravery.”
In a powerful display of unity and national determination, Kharge stressed that the Indian National Congress has consistently supported the Armed Forces and the government since the tragic Pahalgam terror attack that resulted in the loss of 26 civilians, including one Nepali national, on April 22.
“Since the day of the Pahalgam Terror Attack, the Indian National Congress has unambiguously stood with the Armed Forces and the Government to undertake decisive measures against cross-border terror,” he continued.
Urging for solidarity against terrorism, Kharge asserted, “National Unity and solidarity is crucial at this time, and the Indian National Congress stands firmly with our Armed Forces. Our leadership has previously provided guidance, and National Interest remains our top priority.”
Operation Sindoor commenced in the early hours of Wednesday, described by officials as a calculated, measured yet assertive military response.
As per the Indian government, all nine critical terror targets associated with factions like Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba were successfully engaged, with no reported harm to civilian or Pakistani military infrastructure.
This operation was a strategic decision by India to ensure accountability for those responsible for the attack while exercising restraint to prevent further escalation.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with senior officials, closely monitored the operation's progress throughout the night.
