Agartala, Sep 19 (NationPress) The Tripura Assembly commenced its session on Friday by unanimously passing a resolution that commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and the nation's Armed Forces for the success of 'Operation Sindoor'.
This operation, which was initiated on May 7 in response to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam (Jammu and Kashmir) backed by Pakistan, caused significant damage to terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and across the border.
Following this, an understanding for a ceasefire was reached between the two nations. The resolution, presented by Chief Minister Manik Saha, noted that Operation Sindoor has become a historic milestone for India in its battle against terrorism.
“In celebration of this remarkable victory, achieved through the strong leadership and strategic actions of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Tripura Assembly extends its heartfelt respect and congratulations to the Prime Minister, Defence Minister, National Security Advisor, Chief of Defence Staff, and the Chiefs of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force, along with the Chief of BSF and all the brave soldiers committed to safeguarding our nation,” stated the resolution.
CM Saha highlighted the tragic event of April 22, when Pakistan-backed terrorists brutally murdered 26 individuals (25 Indians and one Nepalese) in Pahalgam, which deeply affected the entire nation.
He conveyed that immediately following this heinous act, the Prime Minister assured citizens that India would not tolerate such terrorist actions again. “The terrorists and those behind them will face consequences. Those harboring them will be brought to justice,” Saha quoted the Prime Minister.
Ultimately, on May 7, the meticulously planned Operation Sindoor dismantled several militant bases and training camps within Pakistan. In his four-page resolution, the Chief Minister reported that a significant number of terrorists trained by the Pakistani military were eliminated during this operation.
“Following this, when Pakistan initiated shelling towards India, the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force collectively executed missile strikes, causing damage to various Pakistani military infrastructures, all while ensuring the safety of Pakistani civilians,” he explained.
CM Saha informed the assembly that every assault from Pakistan has been met with exceptional bravery and skill by our soldiers. He emphasized that India remained completely secure without any casualties. The successful execution of the operation under the visionary leadership of the Prime Minister, coupled with the decisive response from the Indian Army to the Pakistani aggression, showcases India's indomitable strength, he asserted.
The resolution underscored that Operation Sindoor is a clear demonstration of the advancements in India's defense capabilities over the past decade.
As a nation that values non-violence and peaceful coexistence, India, through Operation Sindoor, not only responded to the atrocities committed against humanity in the Kashmir Valley but also affirmed to the world its readiness and strength in combating terrorism, asserting that it is prepared to strike directly at enemy bases across borders when necessary, as stated in the resolution.
