New Delhi, March 24 (NationPress) In a significant operation, the Southern Range of the Crime Branch in Delhi has apprehended a wanted individual linked to numerous serious crimes, including a prior conviction for robbery, as confirmed by an official on Tuesday.
The suspect, known as Rinku Kumar, also recognized by aliases Rajinder and Sunil, hails from Baljeet Nagar. He had been evading law enforcement after absconding from interim bail and managed to stay hidden for several months.
Law enforcement officials reported that a specialized team, including ASI Vijumon, Head Constables Arvind and Charan Singh, and Constable Poonam, was assembled under the direction of Inspector Vijay Pal Dahiya, with oversight from ACP V.K.P.S. Yadav, tasked with locating the fugitive.
On March 23, acting on precise intelligence, the team executed a strategic raid near Nihal Vihar in West Delhi, resulting in the swift capture of the suspect during a well-coordinated operation.
In 2024, Rinku Kumar and his accomplices were implicated in a robbery involving Rs 25 lakh in the DBG Road vicinity. He was arrested under FIR No. 220/24 and charged with various sections of the IPC, including 365, 392, 397, 506, and 34, along with violations of the Arms Act, leading to his judicial custody.

Further investigations revealed that Rinku Kumar is a repeat offender with a record of at least 10 criminal cases filed across several police stations in Delhi. His extensive criminal background includes charges for kidnapping, snatching, robbery, dacoity, criminal intimidation, and violations of the Arms Act.
Authorities also disclosed that he has a prior conviction for robbery, which resulted in a 10-year prison sentence.
