The committed team, which included Sub Inspector Ashish, Head Constable Narender, HC Rajeev, Constable Ramkesh, and Ct Sarvender, operated under the guidance of Insp. Yogender Meena, the SHO of Pandav Nagar police station, and under the oversight of Amandeep Kaur, ACP of Mayur Vihar.
On March 22, during a routine picket check, police received precise intelligence about the movement of snatchers on a scooter. Responding swiftly, officers detained two accused riding a white scooter. Intensive interrogation led to the recovery of two stolen mobile phones.
Further investigation revealed a receiver of stolen property located in Kalyan Puri, from whom another stolen mobile phone was seized. Additionally, police recovered the scooter used in the crimes, alongside one stolen scooter and one stolen motorcycle.
The suspects have extensive criminal histories. Rohit Vashisht, alias Kalu, has been implicated in 17 prior cases, including robbery and snatching, while Manjeet from Kalyan Puri has a staggering 35 previous offenses, including murder, robbery, and NDPS violations, having been released from prison on November 18, 2025. The third suspect, Bharat Chauhan, aged 24, is engaged in event-related work.
The police have confirmed that an ongoing investigation aims to identify further victims and uncover the gang’s broader network.
