The second accused was identified as Rishikant (22), a resident of Bhandwa Sawran village in Etawah district, Uttar Pradesh. FIR No. 451/2026 was registered under Section 25 of the Arms Act, with investigation assigned to Head Constable Devender.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Rajendra Prasad Meena stated that the arrests were part of the police's 'continuous drive against illegal possession of firearms and to maintain peace and public safety in the area.' The DCP's press release credited the 'prompt action, vigilance and professional policing' of the Seemapuri beat staff for the recoveries.
Officials added that the 'timely action of the police prevented the possible misuse of these illegal weapons and enhanced public safety in the area.'

Police said further investigation is underway to establish the source of the recovered firearms and to determine whether either accused was involved in any other criminal activity.
